Meet Rose

Rose Cameron | Instructor

Rose Cameron is an oil painter, instructor, and creator of R. Cameron Art, now part of the broader creative world of RoseCameron.com, where she brings together art, writing, courses, and resources for building a more intentional life.

Working primarily in oil and charcoal, Rose is drawn to portraits, symbolism, florals, and expressive figure work. Her teaching style is practical and open, with an emphasis on decision-making, interpretation, and building confidence through the actual process of painting, not following a rigid formula.

Rose lives much of the year on a Greek island, where she paints, writes, teaches online, and creates courses that help artists slow down, look closer, and bring more intention into their work.

She created Crowned to walk you through one complete oil painting from reference and planning to sketch, underpainting, color decisions, layering, and final refinements. You’ll see the full process, including the messy middle, the adjustments, and the choices that turn a reference into a painting with mood, softness, and presence.
